Alerts may be delayed or unavailable.

What we collect

• Account: email (optional), hashed auth identifier.
• Preferences: alert thresholds, locations, quiet hours.
• Device: push token and nickname for notifications.
• Usage: aggregated analytics (feature usage, errors).
• Location usage: when you request a snapshot for your current location, we use coordinates to generate results for that moment and location.

Why we collect it

• Deliver personalized air quality, fire, and pollen insights.
• Deliver alerts based on your thresholds and saved places.
• Improve reliability, diagnose issues, and plan capacity.
• Prevent abuse and keep accounts secure.

Background processing (if applicable)

If you enable notifications, the app may run background tasks to evaluate conditions for your saved places and deliver alerts. This can occur even when you are not actively using the app, depending on your device settings and permissions.

Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for a legitimate business purpose, then delete or anonymize it.

Sharing

We don’t sell your data. We use service providers (hosting, error reporting) under confidentiality and DPA terms.

Your controls

• Update preferences in Settings.
• Delete devices or your account in Account → Danger Zone.
• Export or request deletion via the contact page.

Security

Encryption in transit and at rest. Least-privilege access. We continually improve safeguards but no method is 100% secure.

Children

Not directed to children under 13; we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We’ll post updates here and refresh the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be announced in-app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for policy violations or to protect the service or users.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by U.S. law and your state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
